Service Restored: Internet Outage – 3/20/17

Update: Internet access was restored at approximately 10 a.m. The outage was due to an issue with our internet router.

NJIT is experiencing an internet outage that started at approximately 9:25 a.m. 3/20/17.  We are actively working to restore service and will provide additional information, including an estimate time for restoring services, as it is made available.

CAB network outage 3/16/2017 7:45am (Service Restored)

Service was restored at 9:30am.

On Thursday March 16 7:45am, the Central Avenue Building (CAB) lost network connectivity. This impacts the phones and computers in the affected area. Service is estimated to be restored by 10am.

Highlander Pipeline Intermittent 2/23 5am-6am

On Thursday February 23, at approximately 5am – 6am, access to portions of Highlander Pipeline (my.njit.edu) may have been intermittent due to network maintenance. Service was restored at 6am.

Resolved – Highlander Pipeline access issue using Chrome browser (updated: 2/3/2017)

Chrome browser users are no longer required to use an alternate browser for Highlander Pipeline access.

The access issue was caused by changes introduced in recent Chrome browser upgrade (version 56.0.2924.76).  Earlier today (2/3/2017), Highlander Pipeline went through emergency maintenance to apply a solution to the access issue.

 

 

 

ITMS Request Service down for maintenance. Thursday, January 26, 2017

“The ITMS Request Service will be down for maintenance on Thursday, January 26 starting at 7am. The maintenance should be the completed by 8:30am. This maintenance will update the name of the system to MTSS Request Service to reflect the department name changing from Instructional Technology & Media Services to Media & Technology Support Services. The new system will be accessible from https://mtss-request.njit.edu/

University Calendar Maintenance

The University Calendar / 25Live will undergo system maintenance on Thursday, January 26th from 5-8pm. The system will be unavailable during this time.

Wireless Maintenance Jan 10-13

On Tuesday – Thursday nights, Jan 10-12 at 9:30pm – 11:59pm, software upgrades will be performed on the campus wireless network. On Friday morning Jan 13 7am – 8am, maintenance will be performed on the wireless authentication server. Wireless may become intermittent with brief interruptions in service during these maintenance windows.
