NJIT Networking is going to change over to a replacement production authentication server for residential wired connections. This will happen between 10 AM and 10:30 AM, on March 21, 2019. During this time all wired authentication sessions will be cancelled causing a loss in wired network connectivity. Residents will have to authenticate to the new service to regain wired network access.
Residents should not notice any change in the authentication process.
This is being done to replace a production authentication service hardware device which failed Tuesday morning. This device handles only wired authentication in the residence halls. Authentication is currently running on backup services.
This will not impact wireless connectivity.
