Update: Loss of IT Services Due to Power Failure

by on April 14, 2016

Update: 9:35 pm April 14 – We anticipate that power to the GITC server will be restored at approximately 4am-5am. If that happens it will allow for many services to be brought online by 1pm on Friday, April 15.

Priority will be given to our instructional systems (including WebMail by Google) followed by our web applications (i.e. Banner, complete website, tuition deposit, admissions applications) and then our academic research computing systems (AFS, High Performance Computing).

This time frame is contingent upon PSEG restoring power to GITC.  We will provide an update before 9 a.m Friday morning.

Services that are currently available include, Moodle, Webmail, VPN, Webex and the campus wired and wireless Internet access.

If you have any questions please contact the NJIT HelpDesk at 973-596-2900, Monday through Friday 8am – 9pm.

Thank you for your patience.
