Update Sunday 1/10/2016 11am

Network maintenance may be extended beyond noon today Sunday Jan 10, 2016 due to a hardware component failure.    This   bulletin will be updated as additional information becomes available.

On Sunday January 10, 2016 at 6 am, upgrades will be performed on the network equipment supporting most of the NJIT campus. This will impact all network access (wired and wireless) for many buildings, including connectivity to the internet.

  • Between the hours of 6 am – 9 am there will be no network access.
  • From 9 am – noon, users should expect intermittent access.

Buildings that will continue to have network connectivity are CKB, Cypress (wired only), Eberhardt, Fleisher, GITC (including the datacenter), MEC, Naimoli, and Redwood.  The wireless network in Cypress Hall will not be available.   All other buildings will not have wired or wireless network connectivity.  The wireless network throughout the campus may be intermittent.

Remote access from the internet to NJIT websites and servers will not be affected. Telephone service will still be available in all buildings except for  the VoIP telephones located in CHEN and EDC3.
