Network Outage in Central Avenue Building

Early this evening a key networking component failed in the Central Avenue Building impacting all floors of the building above the second floor. Connectivity was restored at 10:30 AM.

This outage was not related to the wiring project currently underway in the building.

NJIT Telecom will be replacing all networking equipment as a part of the NJIT TechFresh project; upgrading desktop wiring, and switches to support Gigabit speed.
