Fenster Hall Network Upgrade / June 11 – 12 2013

On Tuesday June 11 and Wednesday June 12, the network in Fenster Hall 3rd – 6th floors will be upgraded with new network electronics. During the maintenance windows, wired network access to computers will become intermittent. This upgrade will provide computers with 1Gb Ethernet connectivity. Wireless network access and telephone service will not be impacted.

Maintenance times:

• Fenster 5th floor – Tuesday June 11 5am – 8:30am
• Fenster 6th floor – Tuesday June 11 7am – 1pm
• Fenster 3rd and 4th floors administrative users – Wednesday June 12 5am – 8:30am
• Fenster 4th floor Honors College – Wednesday 7am – 1pm

Telephone system maintenance – Wednesday May 1, 2013 6pm

On Wednesday May 1, 2013 at 6pm – 8pm , telephone connectivity may become intermittent. This maintenance will primarily affect telephone service to the Campus Center, Fenster, Cullimore, Eberhardt Halls and CAB. There may be brief outages to the remainder of the campus.

Kupfrian Hall Network Upgrade Thursday March 21 8am-6pm

On Thursday March 21, 2013 at 8am – 6pm, the network electronics in Kupfrian Hall will be upgraded. During this maintenance window, network connectivity to the wired and wireless networks in Kupfrian Hall will be unavailable. Telephone service will not be impacted.

Internet Connectivity Network Maintenance Wednesday March 20, 5am – 6am

On Wednesday March 20, 2013 at 5am – 6am, maintenance will be performed on the network equipment providing connectivity from NJIT to the internet. During this maintenance window, connectivity to and from the internet will unavailable for approximately 20 minutes.

Moodle service should be restored.

Moodle should be restored and working properly. The outage begin around 11:51 pm and should have been restored at about 8am this morning. If you are still experiencing problems please contact the HelpDesk at 973-596-2900.

This was an unintended result of an upgrade.

Web and vpn service slower performance 2/27/13 3:52pm – 4:54pm

On Wednesday Feb 27, at 3:52pm-4:54pm, access to some web and vpn servers may have have had slower performance due to a dns server going offline. Full service was restored at 4:55pm.
